The European Business Awards for the Environment are organised by the European Commission's Environment Directorate-General. They are designed to recognise and to promote companies, which have taken outstanding and exemplary measures to control and to reduce the environmental impacts of their activities, products and services.

The European Business Awards for the Environment are underpinned by a series of national award schemes. The companies, which wish to participate in the European Business Awards for the Environment, must enter one of the national award schemes.
